Terendak

The
conical shaped terendak hat originated with the Melanaus. Melanau
women are skilled at weaving them from sago palm strips and
wild sang leaves, using rattan strips as binding. |
|
| Intricate
designs give the terendak or conical Melanau hat a beauty that
never goes out of style. |
|
 |
It
lends itself to a variety of decorations and designs and is
one of the most popular souvenirs among visitors.
